Nature's Herb Farm
Cuban Basil has a spicy flavor that is great in Italian and Mexican foods. It tastes similar to Sweet Basil except for that spicy kick. You can use it to put a herbal twist into some of your favorite Mexican foods. Try it in salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo, fajitas, beans, and queso.
It has heart shaped leaves that are about an inch long and an inch wide. It rarely flowers but when it does the flowers are white. It originated in Cuba which is where it gets its' name. It grows upright similar to Aussie Sweetie basil and likes the full sun. It will do great in your garden or in a pot. If grown in a pot, make sure it gets the morning sun.
